On Wednesday we will go to a nearby vineyard for a tour and a wine tasting lunch. Then we'll have a guided tour into Catanzaro's ancient silk tradition. Catanzaro was once home to one of the most important silk industries in Europe. And now a group of Calabrian youth has revived this tradition nt the Silk Nest Cooperative (nido de seta) in San Floro, in Catanzaro province, in the region of Calabria.
I found this link on the Web. https://italoamericano.org/story/2018-9-25/nido-di-setaIt seems to be where we are going. Also, this You Tube video. It has English closed captions.
This may be where I spend some of your gift money, Karl & Mona!
On Thursday, May 23, we will be going to Scilla and to Reggio Calabria. We will have a seafood lunch overlooking the Straits of Messina.
Then to Reggio Calabria to he famed Bronzi di Race (or Riace bronzes) statues.

We spend the evening in Pizzo again and on Friday morning we catch the train back to Rome where we will stay at the Capo D'Africa Hotel and on Saturday morning we'll have a private tour of ancient Rome and the historical center. On Sunday morning a driver will meet us at our hotel for the trip home!
That's the plan; we'll see what the reality is. I'm sure it will be better than we even expect!
