One Week Away!

In two weeks from today Patty and I will be leaving for Italy.  Here is the basic plan.  I’m writing it out for me as well as for you, dear reader!

Saturday, May 18
I depart Dayton at 6:10 a.m. EDT AA 3608
Arrive DFW at 7:41 a.m. CDT

Patty departs Grand Junction CO at 6:01 a.m. MDT
Arrives DFW 9:07 a.m. CDT

We both leave DFW on AA 240 at 1:30p pm CDT
Arrive FCO (Rome) on Sunday 5/19 at 7:00 a.m.(Central European Summer Time CEST), which is EDT +6 and MDT +8 So it will be like 1 a.m. for me and 11 p.m. for Patty.  Travel time on this flight is 10 hours and 30 minutes.

We got our flights for “free” with AA miles, so we paid for Main Cabin Extra seats for more leg room.

When you think of us, believe with us for these two things:
We each arrive easily to DFW in time for our flight
We both can sleep some on the flight

Sunday, May 19
Arrive in Rome at 7:00 a.m.

Next scheduled thing is to take the Leonardo Express Airport Shuttle Train from the airport for a 30-minute ride to the main train station in Rome (Rome Termini Train Station).  At 1:56 p.m. we will take the FrecciaBianca 8869 train to the Lamezia Terme Central Train Station, arriving at 7:04 p.m.  We will be met by a driver who will take us to the Piccolo Grande Hotel In Pizzo Calabro, which will be our home from Sunday night to Friday morning when we will return to Rome.

That is the beginning of the trip.  Will share more tomorrow.
